Scaling Literary Lift
During the 2025–2026 school year, while in 10th grade, Alexander Ramey transformed Literary Lift into a growing nonprofit organization. Through its second successful GoFundMe campaign, Literary Lift secured funding to expand its network of donation bins and build the infrastructure needed to increase its long-term impact. The donation bin pictured here, located at the Morton and Barbara Mandel Recreation Center, was one of the new community collection sites established during this period.
Expanding Access to Books
During this period, Literary Lift collected more than 1,250 books through its growing network of community donation bins and local partnerships. The collected books, pictured here, included a diverse range of children's and young adult books in English, Spanish, French, and German, ensuring that students from a variety of linguistic backgrounds had access to meaningful reading opportunities.
Key Milestones (2025–2026)
- Raised $2,600 through GoFundMe from 25 donors
- Partnered with the Royal Palm Tennis Club in Pinecrest, FL and Morton and Barbara Mandel Recreation Center in Palm Beach, FL as additional donation bin locations
- Collected more than 1,250 books through expanded community donation efforts
- Registered Literary Lift, Inc. as a Florida nonprofit corporation and launched literarylift.org
