Becoming Literary Lift
During the 2024–2025 school year, while in 9th grade, Alexander Ramey continued the project independently and officially launched Literary Lift. Through donation bins, including this one pictured here at the Cutler Cay Clubhouse, Literary Lift collected books throughout the year and distributed them to the South Miami Gibson-Bethel Community Center's after-school program.
Growing Our Collection Network
As Literary Lift continued to grow, partnerships with local organizations became essential to increasing its impact. This transitional year focused on building the relationships and infrastructure needed for future expansion. The donation bin pictured here, located at Alper JCC, provided community members with a convenient way to donate books.
Key Milestones (2024–2025)
- Officially launched Literary Lift as an independent student-led initiative
- Collected and donated 250+ books
- Partnered with the Alper JCC in Kendall, FL and Cutler Cay Clubhouse in Cutler Bay, FL as donation bin locations
- Supported students through the Gibson-Bethel Community Center in South Miami
