Our Story

While volunteering in his community, Alexander Ramey recognized that many students lacked access to educational resources, particularly community service books, outside of school. Inspired by a passion for reading and literacy access, he launched Literary Lift to help connect donated books with young readers and expand educational opportunities through community partnerships.

Since 2023, Literary Lift has collected and distributed more than 2,000 community service books through donation drives and local partnerships, significantly improving literacy access for students across South Florida. While the number of educational resources collected helps tell our story, our true impact is reflected in the excitement and opportunities those books create for young readers.

Our mission is to expand literacy access by providing community service books to students in underserved communities. Through book donations and partnerships focused on educational resources, Literary Lift works to inspire a love of reading and create opportunities for students who need them most.
